Dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences in the specialty 14.01.02 – internal diseases. – Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, Ivano-Frankivsk, 2002.
The dissertation deals with a study of the peculiarities of the thyroid gland and immune, pro-and antioxydant systems in patients with osteoarthrosis (OA). An unfavurable influence of thyroid lesions on the course of osteoarthrosis and their certain levelling effects on the therapeutic efficacy has been detected. An increase of disturbed equilibrium in the blood of pro- and antioxidant systems, the body is immune reactivity have been discovered. It has become possible to demonstrate on an OA model a correlation of metabolic changes in the blood, hepatic tissue and morphologic changes of the articular cartilage and comparative peculiarities of their correction by means of erbisol, riboxyn, their combination, as well as sodium diсlophenak.
The expediency of a differentiated use of multimodality treatment in patients with ОА with the inclusion of erbisol and riboxyn has been substantiated. The chondroprotective action of erbisol and general metabolic action of riboxyn in OA patients, the peculiarities of their effect on concomitant and age lesions of the digestive, cardiovascular systems, thyroid gland have been proved.
