Ornat H.S. The clinical and laboratory evaluation of the immune and genetic factors of the prosthesis-induced stomatitis and the substantion of the medicamental correction in the complex treatment. – Manuscript. Dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences in the specialty 14.01.22 – stomatology. – Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, Ivano-Frankivsk, 2002.
The dissertation deals with the prostesis-iduced stomatitis as a complication resulted from wearing removable laminar dentures. While studying the statistically trust worthy selection of patients, the possible genetic burden for the inflammatory processes of the oral mucous membrane was found in cases of caries and parodontitis heritability, the alterations in the system of heredity in prosthesis-induced stomatitis and the changes of the epithelium cells’ cytogenetic characteristics of the oral mucous membrane were observed in the patients who wore removable laminar dentures and had clinically healthy oral mucous membrane. The disbalance of immune indexes, increased emissien of antiinflammatory interleukins (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α) were noticed in prothesis-induced stomatitis during the inflammatory process in mucous membrane caused by removable laminar denture. The method of treatment for prosthesis-induced stomatitis was substantiated, developed, tested and on 15 Gune 2001 in was defended by the declarative Patent of Ukraine N39537. It has been established that the use of Erbisol has positive effect on the clinical manifestation and the symptoms of inflammation of the oral mucous membrane in denture wearers. It also improves the indexes of immunograms, the functional status of the epithelium cells’ genotype of the oral mucous membrane and decreases abnormally high concentrations of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α. The inclusion of Erbisol in the treatment for prothesis-induced stomatitis turned out to be more efficient than the conventional method of treatment. It promotes the fast regress of the clinical manifestation of the inflammation in the oral cavity, the improvement of the patient’s general state and makes the wearing of removable laminar dentures more convenient.
