The thesis containing the results of the experimental (42 eyes) and clinical research (210 eyes) aimed at increase of effectiveness of the open and conservative treatment of the patients with penetrating wounds of the sclera in the area of the eye being hard-to-reach for the initial surgical treatment. New instrumental methods of the initial surgical treatment of the sclera wound, methods of extrascleral sealing taking into account the loss of the vitreous body were developed, the conservative treatment was improved. Efficiency of the suggested complex of measures aimed at the initial surgical treatment of the sclera wounds in the hard-to-reach area of the eye was proved.
