This thesis is dedicated to the problem of improvement of diagnosing and increasing efficiency of treatment of peptic ulcer of various localization.

It has been revealed that clinical, endoscopic and morphologic manifestations, condition of acid secretion in the stomach and H. pylori infection indicators depending on the localization of ulcerative defect are variable.

It has been proved that in case of peptic ulcer localized in the upper and middle third of the stomach therapy should include both antihelicobacterial preparations and such cytoprotective medicine as erbisol.
