The thesis is devoted to the treatment of patients with heavy eye burns by preparation «Erbisol». It is established, that the preparation has antioxidant (AO) properties that has allowed to apply it in the treatment of heavy eye burns for the first time. Instillations of «Erbisol» 6 times daily during 30 days do not cause pathological changes of tissue in rabbits’ eyes, that was clinically and hystomorphologically investigated. The intensification of peroxide lipid oxidation (POL) processes and change of activity AO system have been proved on model of heavy eye burns, as in blood as in eye tissue: in the cornea (in a zone of a burn and outside of burn zone), in crystalline lens and aqua of the anterior chamber, where the degree of expressiveness depends on a stage of burn disease. The intramuscular injections of «Erbisol» and eye drops precipitins the corneal epithelization, reduces the inflammation, conducts to the formation of more gentle opacifications in the cornea, reduces intensity of POL processes and stimulates AO protection system in blood and structures of the eye.

It fixed, that «Erbisol» in complex therapy of patients with heavy eye burns normalizes POL processes and raises AO protection of the organism that improves current of burn allows to receive the best functional results. The received data of experimental, histologic and clinical researches on «Erbisol» positive influence on dynamics of eye burns allows to recommend it for application in the treatment of eye burns.
